Oooooh la la! Sexy! Actually a pretty cool idea. It'd be a winner if it had G-sync and Free-Sync. It would also start fanboy wars over which is better lol

Mmmm, was looking for the Dell U3415W, but guess I'll wait for a 21:9 G-sync screen. :)

Hopefully it will be an IPS panel with no bleeding. The Samsung VA panel seems to have too many negative aspects to be enjoyable (mostly ghosting).

Hmm, I wonder how much? If I have to ask ...etc..

Could my rig run such a beast?

Currently 30" @ 2560x1600 = 4096000 pixels
That beast @ 3440x1440 = 4953600 pixels

So just less than 25% extra pixels to drive.

The monitor arena is definitely getting interesting!

I wonder if they will make a smaller 28"-30" model? 34" seems quite large for a computer monitor. Sure it'll immerse you into the games more but i feel the sweet spot for more budget oriented consumers/people limited on space(like me) would be more willing to get a 30" or slightly smaller instead of the 34"

Surely it will only be 60Hz but IPS. A curved TN panel would look disgusting and nobody seems to have pushed high-res IPS panels that high yet. I just can't see it being curved + IPS + G-Sync + 144Hz + 1440p all at the same time.

I'm fed up of the kids on facebook saying it's 4k. It's nearly as annoying as people saying 1440p is 2k. Monitor resolution conventions are messed up.

Amva

if its an amva though like their other surprise xb270hu panel, it may be 144hz. acer has been surprising this month.

Because it is quite simply a technology limitation to get that. If it was OLED it could do it. IPS just isn't fast enough and the controllers aren't strong enough for that kind of load. A TN 10bit panel is probably the closest we could get but it would be very expensive because the panel and controllers would need to be very high end to maintain.

This looks real nice, 34" panel is a tiny bit too big for me. Wish they did more 29" ultrawide screens with higher res

I'm wiht Xploited on this. I have been trwling all the tech sites, monitor sites, gsync sites and nothing.........not a god dammed peep about when or how much it is. Not even a hint. I need me a 21:9 gsync 3440x1440 monitor 60hz just aint cutting it.

This might be a contender instead of the LG curved which was going to be my Christmas pressie to my self.
Looks nice and look forward to seeing a few reviews before hand.
34" is maybe a little big id of liked around 30" but i guess with all that panel size id not need 2 monitors... hmm will have to look nearer the time.

I saw the 28" and 34" curved LG monitors myself in person 2 days ago. I will tell you now the 34" is by far the better monitor. The 28" looks long and skinny with no height. I'd much rather get the 34". Looks twice as big but really brings out the curve in a way where the smaller seems more flat due to the lack of overall size.

This is my main contender for a new monitor, just wish they'd release more details, or better still send out review samples.

Just read an article on sweclockers that mentions the Gsync version of the XR341CK is 75Hz............. are you fucking kidding me? ooooh and apparently it's gsync V2 so it has a HDMI port as well as the DP..

Wrods cannot express how dissapointed i am on this. I was holding off for months to get the holy grail of 21:9 3440x1440 at 120 or 144hz with gsync. I could have had a rog swift all this time....
YOU DONE GOOFED Acer....YOU DONE GOOFED
