Crazy USB / Keyboard problems???

Hey guys, I have a very wierd problem to report... After reinstalling XP I've been having some wierd keyboard problems which I think might be USB related?

Anyhow, here's what happens. Whenever I try to use an F key or a buttom combination such as ctrl+v or something whatever program I'm using it in locks up and won't close, I can't even force close it... Then if I just start hitting random keys or ctrl+alt+delete combos all of my USB devices lose power and don't come back on forcing me to reboot.

Happened to anyone before? This is some of the craziest crap I've ever seen. I wish I had a retail copy of Vista!!!

Gonna hafta give that a shot next, this is really irritating. It seems to only happen when I try and type in a Windows program (ie Paint and Windows Explorer).

I would get so annoyed with that for sure. I hope there is a simple solution.

You didn't change any USB settings in the BIOs?

Nope, haven't touched anything USB related in the BIOS... This is very strange. I think XP x64 just takes the most of the time, I might format again and install XP SP2, because this REALLLLLLLLLLY makes me mad.

check that your bios is set to high speed USB and not Full Speed and enable USB keyboard before OS if there is an option? worth a shot *shrugs*

Formatted with Win2k3 and all better. That's the end of XP for me, POS software.

Weird never ever had that issue with XP

In fact I rarely have issues with XP, apart from ATI and nVidia drivers conflicting
