Abit Launches IL9 Pro Motherboard

Abit has announced its latest Intel 945P based motherboard for Core 2 Duo processors, the abit IL9 Pro. Feel free to comment...

Looks decent, and much better layout than the AB9 series, what a screwup that board is.

I wonder why they used the 945 rather than the 965, price maybe?

I should have read the news article better. That said I would rather see people include a separate chip rather than use an older chipset.

Motherboards are infamous for their low margins and with consumers asking for more and more in the chips - intel charges more and more. Another chip would make this prohibitively expensive

I think that it will probably come into a different price bracket than the 965 chipset boards.

The enthusiast market is relatively small.
