AMD further tease a Dual Hawaii GPU

News Guru
Lately AMD have been teasing their upcoming Dual Hawaii GPU using its #2betterthan1 campaign.

Yesterday AMD tweeted this picture with this caption;
It’s coming. Do you have what it takes?

Now there are two questions to ask, when is it coming? and what exactly is pictures here?

To answer the first question I don't know, however most hardware sites say it will be within the next two weeks, with videocardz stating that it will launch on the 8th of April. Nothing is confirmed here, but with Nvidia's recent Titan Z announcement I expect AMD's response will not be far behind.

The answer to the second question is again unknown, we clearly see the word Radeon with a circular outline but again I don't know what it is.

So my question for you guys is, what do you think it is? A backplate? a waterblock? A Titan Z? Please post you answers below.

90% it is a Water block

Maybe this, looks stretched because the original image is small and I stretched it to make it 1080.

calling backplate as well.
"do you have what it takes?" $1500?
it's gonna have a waterblock anyways, if AMD are incapable of cooling one of their cores properly they have to watercool two of them.

I can bet its watercooled but i don't see why they would put that huge Radeon logo in the middle of a waterblock.

Looks like the first frame of a promo video, mmmm what's behind the sci fi Radeon bulkhead....

...but could also be a water block.

I reckon the Radeon in the centre is a red herring. They are copying the likes of the 690 and Titan Z by placing the fan in the centre.

Or, to be completely off-the-wall it's an integrated all in one pump and rad mounted on the card, but that's as likely as this thing being quiet ;)

This is what I think but the rad will be external, like the Ares 2

I think the Radeon bit in the middle is where the pump will be.

There is no way 1 fan will be enough for 2x Hawaii chips, it is barely enough for one card so there is no way they would use a single fan for a dual card.
The only way they could cool a dual Hawaii card would be with water cooling, air is not going to be enough unless they seriously gimped the card and underclocked the crap out of it.

i hope the pump isn't going to be a big bulk on the block. the ARES II is sexy as hell, this design, even though the picture is not showing much, doesn't appeal to me. looks kinda old.
it's out of the question that this card will have a waterblock, it would be a PR fiasco if they'd release a heavily underclocked card on air, it would probably still be hot.
in general i'd like to see more AIO GPU cooling solutions though.
