New Build!

New Build! (any help is appericated)

I have gathered some parts and have a plan for the rest but I want to see what you guys think about what I have and any suggestions will be appreciated!


I have
CPU- i5 4670k
Motherboard- Maximus VI Formula
GPU- Gigabyte GTX 680 OC Windforce(got a steal of a deal on it)(1of 2)
SSD- Crucial M4 256GB
RAM-8GB 2000Mhz 1.65v CL 9 Corsair Dominator GT

I need
GPU Zotac GTX 680(buying from my supervisor for a super cheap powerhouse SLI)(2 of 2)
RAM-8GB 2000Mhz 1.65v CL 9 Corsair Dominator GT(want to go to 16GB because it will look better)
Case- Corsair Air 540(and a magnegtic filter for the PSU vents)
PSU- Corsair AX 860
HDD- WD Black 1 TB
Lighting NZXT braided LED White
-water cooling stuff
2- XSPC Razor GTX 680 water blocks
1- XSPC Raystorm intel water block
1- dual 120 Alphacool radiator
1- triple 120 Alphacool radiator
5-corsair SP fans quiet editions
10ish Monsoon Chain Gun Hardline Fittings
unknown pump and res
as much hardline tubing as needed



and I want to braid my own cables but I don't know really where to start

This isn't my first build but it is my first super awesome gaming machine and it's my first time doing water cooling.

Looks like a nice setup you have planned there. I look forward to seeing more.

Here is a cable sleeving guide i found here on the forums, i hope it gives you your starting point :).
 
good luck on that man, sounds nice! Would love to see some pics up at a later date of it humming away :D I have no idea on watercooling so i'm not commenting on that :cool:

I'll post pictures of it running on stock air first, that should be in a month or so

then over the summer is when I'll do the water cooling:)

Sounds like a nice build enjoy!

A little bit of an update, I've got it up and running, only missing the two video card blocks and a pump, and a little more work on the custom floor, but other then that it's all running well. got my cables sleeved and laced, the cards are overclocked to 1201MhZ on air, better pics to come.

the rest should be done my the end of September:)
