Hello!

I decided to upgrade my PC before christmas holidays, tell me what you think about it:

New purchases:

CPU: Intel i5 4670K
GPU: Asus GTX 780
MOBO: Asus Maximus VI Gene
RAM: 8GB G.Skill RipjawsX 1866MHz CL9

From my previous PC:

SSD: Samsung 830 128GB
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB
PSU: Corsair TX850
CASE: Xigmatek Elysium
W/C loop: EKWB Supreme HF, EK 360 rad, EK DCP 4.0

There we go! I will be ordering the components today, so hurry with your thoughts!

Cheers,

Blockhd

Not a big fan of the case but I guess to each's own.

As far as cosmetics go, that will be a very nice looking combination. Find a way to cover or remove the sticker on ur PSU when you build it so that doesn't throw off the awesomeness!

AND WE WILL BE DEMANDING LOTS AND LOTS OF PICS!

An mATX board is such a huge case? Are you sure, cause that's going to look ridiculous.

Other than that; the list looks nice.

Yea, i love mini motherboards :-P

Ive had rampage 2 extreme until now.... A little change doesnt hurt.

Hey, i need your help again, community... They dont have ASUS GTX 780 instock... I could have waited and they would ship it on 23rd dec, but i want it now, so i can geek all holidays long.

Is ASUS worth the wait, or would EVGA ACX or GigaByte Windforce or Gainward phantom suffice?

Thanks!

Just get any other 780, they are all pretty much the same, just pick one you like the look of and that will match your rig.

ASUS seems to be the best overclocker and rining coolest of them all.

Okay, there is a possible contender. Gigabyte 780gtx GHZ edition. It features new b1 revision of gk110, so thats pretty cool.

Or i could get r9 290 and invest into watercooling block. But thats again so much hassle :-/

:-)

I've just merged your posts, please don't double post but use the

What about the MSI Gaming card then? It's black and red although I'm not sure all of them have a black PCB (some might be brown-ish).

I agree that small motherboards can be nice to have, as long as it's in a small form-factor rig. That Elysium already dwarfs regular ATX boards, let alone even smaller ones. You might just lose it in that case never to be found again.

Oh, I'm sorry about double posting, you must know excitement when you are waiting for new RIG. It's crazy!!

Those guys just told me that they recieved another delivery of ASUS GTX 780 DCII cards, so I'm totally getting that one :-))

Today, I've been leaktesting my w/c loop, but that's a matter for new thread.

Thanks for all your suggestions, mods may close the thread!

Cheers, Blockhd
