My Corsair 540 Air Build.

Hello everyone. I'm pretty new around here. I thought I'd say hello and share my rig with you all. It's my first proper build (so go easy), and I'm sure this may be the case with some others on here, but its not finished yet.

I just ordered all the parts that I'll need to do my first custom water loop (hoping it wont turn out to be a waterpark). I'll try and post some more photos as and when I start work on it.

I've got a few other things that I need/would like to do like replace the cables for red ones and also cable manage the rear compartment properly (purposely not pictured :D)

The first little custom mod that I did was to tint the side panel window with some car window tinting film. I didn't like how visible the insides were and it made my rig look like a fishtank :)

Excuse the photos, I've only got the camera on my phone at the moment and I was struggling with the light in my flat.

System specs:

- Intel i5 4670K
- Asus Maximus VI Formula
- 8GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133mhz
- Corsair H100i (in Push/Pull)
- EVGA GTX780Ti SC
- Corsair AX760 PSU
- Corsair Carbide Series Air 540
- Corsair Force LS 120GB SSD
- Corsair Force 3 480GB SSD
- Western Digital 2T HDD
- Corsair Link Commander w/Cooling & Lighting Node

Thanks

Looks pretty good, like how your RAM and GPU fit together.

By the way what is the Corsair box? Are your SSDs in it?

Good luck with your water loop are going foe colored tubes or liquid?

Cheers guys :D

Yep, as RKJ said, it's the Corsair Link Commander. SSD's are parked round the back. It controls all the fans and lights within the rig. Nice idea but terrible, terrible software/firmware. I had so many problems with it, trying to get it to work. I refused to give up as it cost me a fair bit.

I've decided to go with an XSPC watercooling kit and GPU block. Clear tubes, red coolant and white LEDs. Quite generic but for my first time I want to keep it simple. I'm putting a 360 AX rad in the front and a tube res for coolant.

I'm hoping the kit will arrive within the next few days. If so I'll start my build log.

Cheers guys. I'm quite happy with it so far but I've still got a lot of work I want to do on it. Next year I want to add a second graphics card and water cool that too. I'll also need another 240 rad which will go in the roof where the H100i is currently is.

Hope this will be enough cooling headroom for both them cards and the CPU :(

I did have the less set to red before. I think it looked better in some ways as the red would accent the grills on the front and top, also with the side panels on it looked darker inside which was cool but with the panel off it was too red. I'm still not 100% decided on what to have but here's a pic of it in red...
