New 939 cpu

lo

Was originally planning to go conroe...but can't really afford the outlay so am in the market for a new socket 939 CPU. I hear on the grapevine that AMD are slashing CPU prices towards the end of the month... my question is simple....which out of the 2 would you go for (current prices noted)...

Opteron 185

or

X2 4800

Are you planning to overclock? If you are I think the Opteron would be better but the differences are dimminishing these days.

On newegg.com they don't have the 185. They have the 180 and the 175. Get the 180.
