Is there a difference?
Is there a difference between this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118004 and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16835118223? Just making sure because I don't want to get the cheaper (AM2) one and it be worse in some way then the LED one. If anybody has the AM2 or LED could you post your temps, CPU, and overclock. Thanks.

I don't reckon they're any different other than one looks nickel plated and has green LED's and the other is raw copper and has blue LED's. Both should perform almost identicle.

Would the nickel plated and raw copper make a difference in the temps or would they cool the same?

if i had to guess i would say that the raw copper variant would be the best. i also dont think we are talking about a temp difference of more than half a degree or so, so the choice is urs.

So what you're saying is that there is practically no difference in temp?

Yes. He said probably about 1/2 of a degrees which is practically no difference. I have read some reviews that have the AM2 performing better than the LED by about 1/2 of a degree.

I'm most likely gonna go with the AM2 because I don't have to much money and it's cheaper.

The plated one is probably copper underneath, so only the surface area is effected.
U`d have to look up which conducts better, I`m sure there`s a physic/electronics site that could tell u that. Chances are it`s nickel.
So they`re figuring the nickel will disapate the temps from the surface area of the copper to air, and from the heat source into the copper, better... dunno.
