OCCT weird temperature reporting.

Hey guys, just having a lazy day seeing what my new 4820k can do while waiting for GTA V, so far all is going well with it looking stable at 4.3 with just a smidge over stock volts.

I've noticed OCCT has been reporting really weird temperatures. After about 5-6 minutes the Core #0 temperature will just dart to 70.5c and stay there without fluctuating. I opened HW monitor to see if that reported the same and it didn't, that just had all 4 cores hovering nicely between 55 and 60c.

Also the CPUTIN temp will spike to 71c and then spike down to 40c and then just carry on. It did exactly the same thing when I ran OCCT at stock clocks. Do you think these are just random errors or should I be worried?

JR

I tried OCCT yesterday and my Core #0 was constantly at 63c, Realtemp and Core Temp showed it as 45c.

I also get strange temps on OCCT. Sometimes certain core temps will drop to 20c and then not move. I have also done a reinstall a few times but I still get strange temps for know known reason. I do get what seems to be correct temps with hardware monitor. Post if you find out what is causing the prob. I will also if I find anything out.
