That's exactly why and my mom wont let me get a tv so i may try to convince her to let me get a tuner when i have the money.

Lol. If it was that easy i would. I'm only 15 and i need to use my mom's credit card to buy it.

why arent you allowed to have a TV in your room? Also, if shes not too good with computers, you can tell her your ordering a quality enhancing card or something, and just say heres the money, and be home free, no? just lie , cause thats bull

I've never had a problem because i use paypal for everything and all the money that is in there is mine.

EDIT: Also, you do know that you need a coaxial cable plugged into the card right? (Coaxial = regular cable). so make sure u have some that will reach the PC

ah, I always got round it by sayin 'essential upgrade to the pc' - they then just handed over the credit card saying 'as long as you pay for it' which I invariably did

Haha i like all of your ideas. The thing is i would have to have my Grandad help me to run a tv cable from my basement to my room so there really isnt a way to get around my mom. Anyway i'm probably not gonna get a tv tuner for a while because i have no money and no way to get money.

Not completely. My mom also said i couldn't have my comp in my room but it is! I just need to let so time pass then when i have the money ask to get the tuner.
