Watercool GPU-X Multi-Link to Serial Question

Does anyone have the Watercool GPU-X Multi-Link? I want to know how the SLI bridge can be made from parallel (default) to serial flow using the optional "serial lock" thingy .

The SLI bridge has 2 ports on both sides, but I can only think the serial lock thingy goes inside the bridge.

Any help and pictures welcome!

Cheers for the reply.

I knew about the serial lock - I wanted to know how it's fitted in to the Multi-Link. I can only think it is screwed in to the multi-link to block an artery between the cards it's cooling. I also think 2 locks are required if 3 gpus are fitted.

Well, it's got to be screwed in to the multi-link like I said before.

Time for another drawing :D Here's how I think it's done:

Think I'll get 2 serial locks just in case I decide to get a third 670 in the distant future ;).

I have confirmed how the Watercooling Multi-Link Serial Lock works. I'm updating this thread in case anyone else needs to know.

Here's the serial lock on top of the multi-link:

The serial lock is simply a countersunk capscrew, a rubber o-ring and a slotted nut.

Screw the two together and it squashes the o-ring to make the seal, or as in this case, to block the flow inside the multi-link make the flow serial.

Hope this helps someone!
