these are the lineup i have thus far

my ideal budget is £150 (can go up to £200), deffo 19", more if poss but not overly important.

id like the best that my budget can buy.......

doesnt HAVE to be from the selection i chose, as im sure you guyz are more knowledgable than myself, so please feel free to suggest other sites/companies.

much appreciate ne help you may have

PS. i currently have an LG FLATRON F900P CRT monitor which i love, but i think i need to move to the land of TFT (just so you can base your opinions)

check out reviews and enduser comments on the sony screen.

that one has 16.7million colours compared to atleast 2 of the others with only 16.2 million colours.

the difference is that 16.2m colours is made by dithering colours but 16.7m is true colours.

if you plan on sitting 50cm or more away from the monitor you will probably not notice any difference but if yo plan on sitting close you might notice it.

BenQ isn't bad, they're Acer's "Value Oriented" brand.

You forgot Dell, too.

My Dad has had that monitor for about 4 months now. No dead pixels, he games with it and theres no ghosting, etc. No banding issues either. Overall a great LCD, I want one for XMAS myself. I'm sure many of the users here can agree with me that Dell Ultrasharps are some of the best, if not the best LCD out there.

well for me, i mainly play jedi academy (oi......dont laugh), i watch alot of anime's, a few movies.

but otherwise its mainly jedi academy, which looks fine even on 50 fps.

my lighting is low lighting (50w halogen bulbs x2).

thats about it lol.

so shud i go for funky (IR sensor) or fast (5ms)?

you guyz are the experts, ill purchase whatever u recommend outta those 2

now the ir sensor one (8ms) is TFT, whislt the other one is LCD....
