Hi guys! I'm new to not only to OC3D, but to pc building as well. I'm building a new budget gaming rig that will last. For my purposes, I'd be needing around 650-750 watts for my PSU, so I'm browsing my options.
I see Thermaltake PSUs for fair price, but a few of my friends who have built their own rigs say that Thermaltake has very shoddy PSUs. Is this true? I'm trying to spend no more than 65$ Canadian on a PSU at the moment, in order to make my rig fit my budget as a University student. Thermaltake seems to have the best prices for wattage, which is why I want to know if they are really as bad as they appear to be.
Also, I'm trying to buy a secondhand Corsair TX 750W Nonmodular power supply for $50. Would that be acceptable or is there a pandora's box that I'm opening by buying secondhand?
ONE LAST QUESTION is if this power supply would be a decent one if all else fails. Rosewill Stallion Series RD600
I know modular is the way to go for cable management, but I'm trying to save wherever I can without sacrificing performance too much, which is why modular or not doesn't really matter to me.
