Classè Audio DR9 | Klipsch RF-82 & RW-10D

Hello everyone.
I figured since I have been more active on here recently posting more of my builds, and enjoying the comments from everyone here, that I would share another area that I enjoy, which is audio.

My sound setup includes the incredible Classè Audio DR9 power amplifier, a pair of Klipsch RF-82 loudspakers, and a pair of Klipsch RW-10D subwoofers. The preamplifier is an Adcom GFP-565. The speakers are positioned about 7ft apart, on each side of my desk, and the Subwoofers are positioned 1 in the front left corner of the room, and one in the rear right corner of the room.

I do not have a soundcard for my Desktop system yet, but I am planning on getting an Asus Xonar essence STX shortly for better gaming sound performance. My music library lives on my MacBook Pro, and that is where I play my music from.

I'll include some pictures of the setup in the room that I took today, and also some pictures of the internals of the amplifier, for anyone interested in seeing that.

Update: March 7, 2013

I have sold one of the subwoofers, and I am moving to a larger room shortly.

See Desk & Work area post for more info and pictures.

I do have these two RW-10D subwoofers, but I generally do not use them for music. The only time I turn them on is for films or TV.

Well, this has made me super jealous. Your set up in incredible! Especially, may I add, your sound system. This must sound absolutely fantastic...damn.

P.S. - love the rug!

I cant believe the size of the components in that amp.. Awsome.
Im not a rug man but that is probably the worst Ive ever seen :o
Of course, if you like it theres absolutely no malintent:)

Also do you just listen to stuff on this setup as its a pretty extreme for a gaming/audio system...

Hey thanks! It does sound good! I like the rug also, not huge on bare floors esp not in bedrooms /dens etc. But then again I think pretty much all modern interior decorating is not cozy so I must be old fashioned ;) I always enjoy seeing other people's setups.

Yes the Classe DR9 is a very good amp from back before Classe joined Bowers & Wilkins.

Not sure what you mean by just listen? I listen to music mainly, I suppose, but I use it for gaming and movies too when I am playing games and watching movies. I guess you mean it is extreme compared to the computer speaker packages people often use with computers. It is definitely more of a full size stereo / home theater type setup as opposed to computer speakers.

Sorry, I wasnt clear, I mean do you do any sort of music production on this gear as alot of people would be impressed with the setup. Just wondered as I know some people with massive sound rigs just to listen to old vinyl and stuff.

PS Just looked at my carpet/rug and its full of white rabbit fur. God damn you Cachou!!!

No pic but hes big and white. You can imagine what my fan intakes look like!!!

At the moment I just use it for listening, but I am always open to trying to new things. I dont have any sound mixing equipment right now, but I think it would be fun to try though.
