Build: Snow Storm

Hey Guys,
I am starting a new build during July this year, and I wanted to hear what you had to say about my hardware choices. This is my first PC build and I am very excited about it. I am already fairly knowledgeable (in my opinion) ;) ;) about computer hardware. I want this build to go as smooth as possible. If you guys have any opinions on the build, I would love to hear them. I am most likely going to buy most of the stuff from TigerDirect, or Amazon (NewEgg is also a possibility). Also, I would like to hear your opinions on the name. Thanks!!!

Processor: Intel Core i7 3770k LGA 1155
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB
Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1000W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866Mhz
Disk Drive: LG Blu-Ray Drive WH12LS39K
SSD: SanDisk Extreme 120GB 6GB/s SATA III (Already Purchased)
Case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker Full Tower
OS: Windows 8, or Windows 7
 
Thanks guys, and I think I will go with the Corsair. That was gonna be my second choice if the CM didn't work out... I REALLY REALLY REALLY want your opinions on the name... Does anyone have a similar rig? If you do I would love to hear from you...

Yeah Corsair's PSU are awesome units, also check out Be Quiet's PSU's especially their new Dark Power Pro P10 PSU's which are fantastic units. The Silverstone Strider, Enermax and Seasonic units are also great and should defo be considered

Thanks Guys... I at least want 700W for some headroom for future upgrades... Besides the PSU, what else do you guys like about the build... Any pros/cons of any of the hardware??? Also does the name sound stupid? (That's what I am really worried about)

The corsair unit is really solid as mentioned. I didn't see anything about a CPU cooler anywhere. Are you going to be using the stock Intel cooler?

(It will be running as a home file server for Music, Movies, Photos, and as a PC backup server. [There are 6 other PCs in my house that will be using it] I plan on adding 1TB HDDs as needed.)

Also, what are some good Mid-Range Monitors???

I finally got the GTX 670 FTW ordered from Amazon!!! ($10 Rebate)



jamesriley94, I see that you are running a Z77 Ivy Bridge build too. How is it working out for you?
