Starting buisiness server for my sisters boyfriend

dear forum ,

i have been asked by my sisters boyfriend who does IT , and is potetionally looking to start his own web hosting services , more exactly windows servers .

now the questions remains

is it more profitable to build a PC to run as a server ( ai taking a bulldozer amd , etc , big HDD's )

or to buy a server rack or etc from a specialised company

i hope u guys can help me out

A server i wold deffinitly buy one.

I would also buy a HP or IBM server,

A good option is blade, wich is easy to upgrade, and you have the option to rent power if its needed for a short period of time.

Edit: forgot to mention DELL servers

a rack'n'blades is the best option as they normally come with a few years support (dell does)

after viewing a few options i found the Dell option not to shabby , and after showing it to him he was immediatly sold

diden't notice the blade option , ill pass it on to him !

blade is deffinitly the way to go

He doesen't really want to offer a dedicated server to the clients , cause that seems what de blade server does and its alot more expensive then the rack version

or is this worth the price the blade server costs over a rack one ?

can u also run diffrent clients website's with diffrent domains on a single ip ?
