hi guys and galls, i have just installed my nh-d14 cooler, which fan connecter should i use on my motherboard?. the fan connecter cable from the nh-d14 only has a 3 pin connector, the cpu connector on the motherboard has 4 pins. there are 2- 3 pin system fan connectors,1 4-pin sys fan connector, 1-3 pin power fan connector and 1-3 pin pch fan connector. can i connect my 3-pin fan cable to the 4-pin cpu connector on the motherboard?. i just dont want to short anything out, any help would be greatly recieved.

You connect it to the 4-pin CPU FAN connector! Don't mind it not having the third pin, it is only for fans with PWM speed control
