some probs with my 7800GS

i have a 7800GS i have problems with performance, and btw mine isnt 375 / 660 but 375 /1.2GHZ stock after playing BF 2 i get my desktop and all stuff 4 bit colours and 640*480 resoltion and i have to refresh driver when i oc i get sh*t like a whole screen of lines and errors with nv_disp 4

The make is XFX 7800GS 256MB GDDR 3 375/1.2GHZ help pls

is there anything i can do like unlocking pipelines or improving stability of the card?

doubt you can unlock any pipelines, atleast i cant with my 7800gt.

for the other problem, tried uninstalling drivers cleaning with drivercleaner and reinstalling them ?

i ll try to update them i had 81.90 i didnt install lates cause i had problems with videos coming in a white shade instead of normal colours, i ll post later after updating thanks

I take it that you are running the latest patch (1.22) for BF2? I'm almost certain that this patch addresses issues with the 7800 series cards. Also as far as trying driver version 81.90, I have read of people having the same issues as yourself and they had tried that version. Many say that the 84.43 drivers and above have solved their problems. Guru of 3D will provide you with even later beta versions, feel free to try them. Failing that, I would suggest that you use Driver cleaner, and be sure to follow kemps guide to the letter, if you fudge the cleaning process you may be in for a world of grief.

As a last resort, if the latest drivers/BF2 patch or driver cab cleanout don't fix your issues, I'm afraid you may need to RMA. Keep us posted, and best of luck

i got the guru 3d drivers using 84.56 but i will redo using driver cleaner , rma is the last thing i would want to do

it is good in bf2 only when i press alt tab to switch window iget a brief picture of lines and it is slightly jerking when in a jet or heli @ 1280*960 4x AA, is this cause the card is not fast enough or some ohter issue , thanks for the interest PV
