Sounds like a nice bit of gear that you would have no hesitation in putting in your rig or recommending to others. And as stated just a shame about those cables.

does look good except the cables, for the price you pay would expect them to be braided too

Enermax has always been wonderful with their quality in PSUs, but their sleeving/cabling has always been the only drawback. Their cables were always a bit more stiff than usual, but a little bending here and there will take the kinks out of the rigid cabling.
