So I'm having troubles with Raid 0

To clear thing at the beginning, I have never ever before set up any kind of Raid.

I have a Asus Sabertooth P67 and 6 HDDs + a DVD-RW.

5 HDDs are Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB, 1 of them for OS, the other 4 for 2x Raid 0

The 6th HDD is strictly for photos.

On the Sabertooth I have 4 6gb/s sata ports and 4 3gb/s sata ports.

Yesterday when I was finishing up the install of everything I connected it:

4 HDDs which are meant for the Raid 0 on both of the 6gb/s ports (Intel and Marvell), the 2 other HDDs and DVD-RW to the rest of the 3gb/s ports.

When I enter Bios, I only see 2 of the 4 HDDs meant for Raid 0 (since I'm not home right now I cannot check which controller are they hooked up to).

Pressing CTRL+I (like stated in the manual) does nothing for me.

When I let the computer boot up to windows 7 I don't see ANY of the 4 HDDs connected to the 6gb/s ports.

Now, what am I doing wrong here?

Have you been into the bios to enable raid?

Does this matter?

I only got 2 "faster" (it said 200 sth on them) sata cables with the mobo... I assumed it's only about the speed and had nothing to do with the hdds being visable in bios/win7

Are the 2 drives that are visible to you in the bios on the provided sata3 cables? If so swap them to the other drives and if they work you have your answer.

I'll try it but I doubt this is the problem since no matter how much I google, everyone keeps saying that it doesn't matter.

Have you set both the Intel (IDE) ports and the Marvell ports to RAID. Also having non-RAID-ed devices on the same controller as a RAID array can cause problems.

They are not on the same controller (the raid and NONraid).

I can only set ports to Raid once (don't know for which controller that is, doesn't say)
