New desk

Been working on this for quite awhile now as I only get about 2 days a month to work on it. I've mentioned it here a few times so it's probably about time I show some progress. I still have quite a bit to finish. I need to make 5 drawers yet, install the keyboard trays, install trim to cover up the plywood edge, sand everything, then give it a few coats of polyurethane.

Dimensions:

The left side runs 6 feet, the right side is 6 feet 6 inches plus the 2 feet where they overlap. This should fit nicely in my den.

Anyway, here's my progress so far. Pics taken with my iPhone so I apologize on the quality.

The far left top spot will house my server. That's why there will only be 5 drawers .







I will update as I progress. I'm hoping next weekend to build out the rest and at least get it all sanded.

well if shipping is it too much come to western australia and build me one on site! lol in all seriousness I really do like what you have done it would suit my room very nicely just need to get some varnish to match my wood colour
