Bioware have put up a high res texture pack patch for download from their site for PC users.

Nice to see they realise we can generally handle better graphics than the consoles lol.

Can get it from here:

Thanks for the link. DA2 definitely isn't as good as DA:O but its enjoyable either way.

If you're addicted to cocaine, perhaps. I agree DA:O was far superior, but DA2 is far too JRPG-ish for my tastes. Not that there haven't been good JRPGs, but DA2 is comparable to one of the worse ones. No subtlety, drama everywhere, characters doing outlandish flips, as if Ferelden's a tumble drier.

Maybe I'm just bitter because the good RPGs have either been and gone or aren't likely to reappear any time soon, but I never once told myself I'd like to take control of some immaculate, invincible 'badass' archetype. I disliked DA:O for the way they sometimes forced your character to act like a halfwit, but at least you could feel vulnerable.

Well, sometimes...

I found the game entertaining but you can tell how EA affected development. About 2-3 hours into the game and you have pretty much discovered all of the locations in the game. Its a shame really.

Well, all in all this is probably Bioware's worst game yet. Atrocious presentation in terms of storytelling, voice acting and dialogue, flat character development, drama left and right, zero subtlety... Y'know, it DOES feel more like an EA game than a classic Bioware game.

Settles it. Bioware's dead to me, but no matter.

http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comme...ed_metacritic/

Also the forums are crammed with badly written, nevertheless warranted complaints from consumers. Banning people left and right simply for criticizing it, completely legitimate threads being deleted.

Then they go and blame 4chan of all things, kind of a lazy scapegoat, no? A specific community you can point your finger at, bawling when things go wrong?

This is just childish. I sympathize.
