Not that it would be an issue but I got wondering what could they have changed to make it so cool.

Before warranty service: 3 Lineage 2 clients + opera + skype + winamp temps were hitting ~70c with laptop cooler.

After: Exactly same condition just no laptop cooler and temps are ~45C after 4h of running.

Btw it couldn't have been dusts because before sending it to warranty service I disassembled to see if I can fix it my self and there was almost no dusts at all.

So it's really weird and what could cause such droop in temps.

Btw specs: P8700 2.53Ghz, 4gb DDR3, Geforce 240M 1gb

they could have seated the heat sink better, used better paste, swapped the heatsink over? quite a few different possibilitys.

bios update to lower voltage / timings on stuff?

Could also be new drivers that are auto downclocking the cpu & gpu to conserve power (my ram is only ever at 667Mhz when not gaming, then 1333Mhz when bumps up).

As mentioned, new paste can make a huge difference.

Maybe previously was clumbsily assembled?

Perhaps there was something else previously kicking out a ton of heat that has now been replaced.

They may have swapped the heatsinks for ones the same size but that are more conductive (eg. aluminium replaced with copper ones).

Heatsinks could have been seated with greater pressure this time round (the tighter the better).
