Hey, I was originally going for a cheaper more limited water system but now have decided to do it properly and I've got everything sorted out except when I came to the pump and reservoir. At the moment it is a combined one: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...at=1631&page=1 but then I wondered if a separate pump and reservoir was better?

There are also many types of reservoirs, external/internal, drive bay and so on, so which is better to have?

Oh and I'm guessing laing pumps are the best? but the only one that had more L/PH than my current combined one was the best one which surprised me: http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop/...at=1191&page=1 so again which one is best to go for?

I am also considering cooling the GPU but not yet so does a combined pump and reservoir restrict this in any way? as I like to plan ahead. Also with a triple rad is this big enough to cool the CPU and (EDIT: a single) GPU? or would I need to add in another loop? this links back to the first bit about restrictions.

Sorry about how many questions there are, I just wan't to get it right first time

Just compare the pump specs, the rest makes next to no difference

ah ok that's good news, so basically just look for the highest L/HR?

no you need to consider head height too. Just buy the DDC Ultra 18W matey.

Just a quick question about reservoirs, how big a reservoir do I need?

whatever size is most convenient for you..res size makes little to no difference to performance, although a larger res will possibly offer more stable temps due to more fluid in the loop.
