I've wanted to try water cooling ever since I had the beastly hot launch Xbox 360. However with coolers like the Noctua NHD14 is there a real point to WC your proc these days in terms of performance or is it the bling / I want a smaller cooler than the monster that is the NH D14?

Video cards seem to be another matter, with the heat that some of these guys are putting out, WC seems to to be the way to go to reach that fabled 1gHz mark.

What about motherboard cooling? Is there a real point? Performance gains or just another bling factor for you rig?
