Hey Guys,

Going to pick up some new modules for my PC, want to know which kit you guys would suggest I go with from what I have posted below or if you have another suggestion.

1.

Mushkin Enhanced Ridgeback 6GB (3 x 2G 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998826

* DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

* Timing 6-8-6-24

* Cas Latency 6

* Voltage: 1.65V

* Multi-channel Kit: Triple Channel Kit

* Recommend Use: High Performance or Gaming Memory

* Model #: 998826

* Item #: N82E16820226124

* Return Policy: Memory Standard Return Policy

2.

Mushkin Enhanced Ridgeback 6GB (3 x 2G 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998827

* DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

* Timing 8-8-8-24

* Cas Latency 8

* Voltage: 1.65V

* Multi-channel Kit: Triple Channel Kit

* Recommend Use: High Performance or Gaming Memory

* Model #: 998827

* Item #: N82E16820226125

* Return Policy: Standard Return Policy

3.

Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB (3 x 2G 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model 998805

* DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

* Timing 6-8-6-24

* Cas Latency 6

* Voltage: 1.65V

* Multi-channel Kit: Triple Channel Kit

* Recommend Use: High Performance or Gaming Memory

* Model #: 998805

* Item #: N82E16820226121

* Return Policy: Memory Standard Return Policy

So I suppose my question is, will I see a difference between 8 and 6 CAS latency for gaming? I do some programming via MatLAB, no video editing though. Redline vs Ridgeback?

I think I read on the Mushkin website somewhere that your 1 & 3 are identical pcb's, the only difference is the heatspreader.

Great, thanks for the replies. I suppose I'll wait out this week and see if those Redline Ridgebacks show up in the US, otherwise I'll just pick up the "regular" Ridgebacks.

Oh another question.

Is it worth 80 bucks to get Mushkin Ridgeback memory with CAS of 6 vs a CAS of 8?
