Hi, I am in need of retrieving files from this old IDE HDD, and I was wondering whether anyone has used one of them converters to USB? I have no PC to attach the HDD so I am having to use USB. I only discovered this was possible a couple of months ago (I know lol) and have been interested, and since then found out an old HDD with some 'memories' on.

Could someone please share their experiences with me?

Thank you.

I have a AC RYAN one works great but mine has a 110v/240v power adapter and that stuffed up i still can use it (using a old working PSU).

Besides that It was great, Could use sata drives, IDE drives and laptop IDE drives all in the one device. Only draw back was it was USB speeds so was slow to get the data off larger drives.

Any way there recommended just see if you can get a good known and trusted brand like shintaro.

They are great for the price you pay to, cheap.

Works perfectly.

Ideal for backing up/copying Sky Plus disks.
