Well after several days of banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why my display driver kept disappearing and why my rig was seemingly so unstable, I swapped out my trusty 8800 for my GTS250 and sure enough that's what it was. Looks like my 8800 was dying a slow painful death after some years of folding hard. It has now been retired.

RIP - I got a fully working 8800GTS 320MB here, but something went wrong with it, and it runs high fan speed 24/7.

No casualities of late, but early this year lost 2x 9800GX2'2, GTX280, and a couple of 9800GTX's. The common denominator on all the cards was EVGA

Almost lost my maximus formula a bit ago, luckily it somehow revived itself
I havent personally lost anything yet  altho i have had to deal with quite a few fudged hard drives as of late

I believe i have had 2/3 9800GTX die on me (RMA) memory that died on me (RMA) 2x PSU (both 900w's) but Coolermaster was the one to blame, POS PSU's...
