Windows 8 Date Released ?

Can't wait on that really ;p

I hope there wont be DX12 stuff goin on so soon ;p

Full article: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/news.php?newsid=674

According to an ex-Microsoft developer the release of Windows 8 is nigh. Dailytech reports that Windows 7 will be succeeded soon which was released in October 2009.

Microsoft promised smaller and more frequent updates to its Windows OS after learning the lesson of Windows Vista which had a prolonged development cycle and was received poorly by consumers and business. According to Chris Green an ex-Microsoft developer who leaked an entire schedule release, Windows 8 will be released as soon as June 2011 with a service pack coming for Windows 7 summer 2010.

Is the world ready for another OS release from Microsoft? As ever company schedules
can change and this information may be subject to change and denial by those at Microsoft HQ.

mmm...with the rapid rapid increase of tech, sata3, usb3, ssds, six cores bla bla bla maybe new pci xpress....who knows many enthusiasts out there on youtube would go after it.

anw i think it will be in the next 2 years so it will give ppl more time to re-invest in a new os.

MS are going to go to an Apple style version of OS updates. Once per year with small incremental changes. Also: should be much cheaper. Sounds good to me.
