Greetings from Portugal

Hi, guys.

So I finally got the time to post an introduction thread. To be honest, the day I subscribed I did write one, but then IE decided something was wrong with my session, and I couldn't post it. Bummer.

But enough of that. I'm not here to whine, I'm here to tell you guys about myself.

So, my name is Miguel, and I'm from Portugal. OC3D is a new place for me, until now I was more of a XS and [H] lurker/ocasional poster (same nickname, so there might be a couple of you that already know me from there).

I'm in the law area, but IT has always been my passion, so much I can actually took the time to take a couple of courses just to be able to apply for jobs on the area (I know, nuts).

I love to help out, and do try to do so when I come across a thread I feel I can contribute to.

My preferred areas are networking (especially NASes) and case modding. I'm actually a modder myself (not a very good one, but hey... lol), I've custom-built two cube cases (a 30x30x30cm was replaced by a 18x18x18cm one just around X-mas), and I like to tinker with standard cases too, though since I don't actually like taking stuff appart, especially stuff still under warranty, I keep it simple with regular cases - only the odd cable management and adding a couple things to the case.

So, I guess this is it, for now. If you want to ask me something, be my guest. Just remember I'm still on "anti-spam lockdown", so no PMs for now.

Cheers.

Miguel

Welcome to the forum matey.. I'm not personally a member on those forums so don't know you from there, but hope you'll stick around here!

Sorry for the late reply, guys!

Odd end of the week, I was working right to the last moment possible, so not much time to write up.

I'm back again now, and I'm going around the forum to check things out.

I've seen interesting stuff, though there seem to be rather "slow" areas. Well, either that or I'm too used to participate in forums where a post you make gets bumped down at least two pages like 5 minutes later you pressed the "Send" button... lol

@killablade: Thanks for the thumbs up! 'preciate it.

Cheers.

Miguel
