Upscaling DVD player

my mates just bought himself an Sharp LC32LE600E LED tv from his redundancy money thats eventually came through and he wants an upscaling dvd player ideally he doesnt wanna spend over £50 on the upscaling dvd player

one thing is it had to be able to delivery sound over the hdmi as he doesnt want surround sound cause he says he can hear it fine the way it is lol

TO be honist most DVD players out there are fine the more you pay the better you get how ever upscaling dvd players dont realy do a good job tbh. you can still see some of the blocky ness.

I personly have a nice pansonic dvd player that allso upscales usb stuff as well and plays any thing i throw at it. I cannot get full details though as were still in the middle of our home being ripped to shreds. Got it from asda though on a sale for £29.99 i think some ones messed up though as they were £80 the week before. But i am a bit of a bargin hunter.

yeah i said to him they werent that great and suggested he spend just £25 on one from tesco's and save for a bd player he then suggested i can spend £80 on a bly-ray player but im not sure u can get them that cheap so im gonna prob try and source him one sencond hand

Asda has a BD player in for £80 atm. dont know whats its like though.

You can pick up a second hand PS3 for £70 to £100 as well dont forget

he doesnt play the ps3 but its a good idea actually not to mention its quite pretty looking, ive got a few feelers out for the players and ill see what i can come up with today and 2moro for him
