Im after a micro atx with every thing built in that can take

2 x 1.5 TB hard drive

run hi def from its onbord cpu / gpu

Built in wifi

No cdrom needed

run under linux very well and fast and windows xp 32bit.

Yeh ill look into that . ill need a low profile HFC to run it as well

My bigest problem will be removeing heat as this system is going to be built into a brick wall so the cool the thing can run the better.

Ill need to figure out a way with small port to be able to vent it lol.

Ah this build isnt for me its some thing im doing for a mate who a builder lol and hes after a juke box mounted onto his fire place (wall). The speekers are going to be either wiress or bluth tooth to his Amp and the basis that i have to work with is its a full working juke box wich can allso do music vids. So the build isnt that hard to be honist as every thing is going to be hidden with only the screen show flat agasint the wall.

How ever ill need to vent out the heat wich im looking into and just spotted the new zotac so may ask buyer to hold off till thats out.

Yes, that would be one of my suggestions at this point in time. Drop a G6950 in there and you should be set.

Do keep in mind, though, that IGPs don't usually allow great deals of video post-processing at HD resolutions. Colour enhancement, sharpening and such things are usually reserved for dedicated GPUs.

I've yet to see a full review on the HTPC capabilities of the new Clarkdale/Arrandale IGPs (including HQV tests), but usually a GT220-class GPU is needed for full points on the HQV tests (the 210, as well as some lower-end Radeons, lack the power to post-process to high HQV grades), so something based on LGA775 (or even AMD) might also suit your needs.

Also, how much of a sound buff is your friend? Audio over BT raises a few question marks for me, even if it is Stereo. Since he's a builder, it will be easy for him to run a couple of extra wires and install proper "sound outputs". Heck, he'll probably only need one, if an HDMI amp is available...

Cheers.

Miguel
