I am after a free.. so open source PHP server. Any recommendation? Thanks!

See I have Xampp but I don't really need a lot of the other features it has to offer. Or I have them already setup elsewhere. Would it be possible to just get the PHP server from Xampp?

XAMPP allows you to run just PHPmyadmin or the SQL server, or whatever, you dont need to do it all.

What is it you actually need?

To run on windows or linux?

If you want to run it on your Vista/7 machine, just install IIS and the PHP fastcgi Windows installer from php.net
