MW2 Spec Ops Error

Hai Guiz

I have a problem when i try to play the Suspension mission of the Alpha segment of the Spec Ops mini-games. It loads only so much and then crashes with an error 'could not load image hud_g36c_mp'

Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so, how can I go about fixing it?

G36C? That's a CoD4 weapon. The g36c isn't even in mw2 is it?

Suspension loads fine here. The first thing to try would be a reinstall.

That's what I thought at first, so I did and it still doesn't work. Maybe a corrupt installation file?

I had this same problem and fixed it by making a copy of another gun's image and naming it hud_g36c_m.iwi

This would be found in the Modern Warfare 2/Main/Images folder. I copied the hud_aa12.iwi to my desktop, renamed it, then dropped it back in the folder. It worked perfectly.
