looking to get a htpc/second pc

ok so got nothing else to get for christmas so i thort i'd treat my self to a htpc/second pc.Currently i am thinking of getting this

I am probaly going to end up taking this uni in a year or so's time also so i just wondered if any one knows of anything better or worth waiting for?

price budget is around 350ish

hmm thats quite smart,if ule use the bluray,i dident think asrock were uptomuch

am not sure yet, it does look half decent but the review at bi-tech did it no favours so i might have a browse first

TBH reading that review if you modded the case and added a betetr fan in the system its going to bne perfect. but price wise hmm well that's another matter when you have to mod it to get acceptable cooling.

Someone on here has just ordered a small Atom PC. Looks amazing, priced well.. certainly second machine material.

yeah the acer aspirerevo, only problem im having is its the single core and will stuggling loading video on my tv with a stable fps, given that u can overclock the atom from 1.6 to 2.1 with 1 click seems like it might be a good option, im just wondering if that fan issue was with just that unit or is across the board

well reading across the board reviews of it . it does get hot so i think a few slits in the top and a 60mm to 80mm slim line fan would do the trick.

hey toejam, Not had any problems with it yet. Noticed a tiny bit of lag in one of the skins i was using. But media wise its been perfect. really impressed with it.

Also been using some software called "Xybers media manager", it downloads all sorts of info for you tv shows/movies. Then XBMC displays it all.
