How to backup SMS messages?

I want to save some of my SMS message onto the PC, because it is very important for me. I want to back up them for later viewing.

Can somebody gives some useful suggestion? I will appreciate that.

If it's Windows Mobile based I use an app called SPB Backup.

If it's a Nokia phone, then I recommend you either download Nokia PC Suite and use the back-up feature there. You can use the PC Suite software on the supplied disc, but it probably won't be the latest version.

Nokia PC Suite is now outdate by it's newer brother, Nokia Ovi Suite.
