I.e do i need to know if its compatible with the mobo? etc. (i know that i've got enough power from the psu)

looking at the Nvidia gtx275.

aslong as you have PCI x16 or PCI x16 2.0 connectord on your mobo then ur all set, what mobo do you have

fujitsu siemens P5GD1-FM, yeah it does have pci 16x, Cheers dude :)

is that the P5GD1 as in the ASUS 775 Pentium board too old for Core2's to run in? I'd seriously look at the specs of your system if you can, if it's as old as I think then the motherboard, CPU and RAM would definitely hold the card back and you'd have to buy a new PSU without a doubt.

It's new rig time I think matey.

just dont expet to get a highend GPU or like melton said u would be held back to much and have to spend cash for its full adavantage
