All UK radio stations to be available on one website by Christmas?

The BBC and Commercial radio broadcasters have joined forces, aiming to make this happen.

I don't necessarily see the point in this.

For simplicity, especially for the less PC-savvy of the population.

I think it's a good idea, should do it with on demand TV too. Or perhaps get OD TV integrated properly into media center or similar - that would make my life easier. There are programs that can do that, but they're a little flaky atm.

When i go into town (Leicester) the radio signal is poo, yet my 3g signal is pretty good.

pirate radio stations i bet.

just think if we started again with all the spectrum. You'd just have it all mobile internet, then carry whatever you wanted over it, be it radio, tv or whatever.

this last point is why i think its a good step, although it's going to be a long long road.
