Satellite Pro L300d-20r Touchpad

Hi,

The touchpad on my L300d has stopped working - it was fine last night.

I am able to use the keyboard lucky enough.

I have done a system restore

I have grabbed the last drivers

It is not recognised in the mouse section on the control panel. There is nothing in the hardware tab of mouse in the ctrl panel.

I have tried turning it on using the function key but this does nothing as well.

Any help I would be grateful for.

Oh btw - I have not got a 'proper' mouse with me

checked the synaptics drivers?

Think i had the same prob on time on my Tosh, theres a driver package on Windows for it.

It was working the other day

Turned on and it wasnt working

Not in the mouse section of ctrl panel

On in bios

The function key wont make it turn on

Theres no mouse pointer on the windows repair console thing,....

In the end I rang up toshiba and they comfirmed the above meant that it broke.

Its under warranty - not for physical or water damage

So im ok.

I just hope that they dont find a way to void the warranty.

Tis £35 to get the laptop back if it is + what ever it takes to fix it :S

People I have spoken to just say replace it with a mouse.
