SLI now on ANY board!

Anyone interested in running SLI on a NON nvidia board?there were some rumours about this a while ago,but now here is a guide on how to do it

I have a feeling tha Nvidia are not going to be happy about this,and will be re-writing the check system in their drivers to stop it

Awesome piece of hackery.

I do hope their exploits cover a set of drivers that include the dx11 release.

Otherwize I personally would have shut the hell up about any guide or anything until the drivers are out.

Reason being, if they put a stop to this in 191.xx drivers, there'll possibly be no hope for Win7 uses and the hack will fall away with no Dx11 support.

Think I would have w8d b4 blabbing myself. It's far too close to have blown it.

But at this moment Nvidia dont have a DX11 card and they are keeping quiet about this GT300"wonder card".But it will be interesting to see how they stop this

so will this work on my x48 then, because if gt300 kicks 5870x2 ass then i'll sli gt300 if not 5870x2 crossfire

hmm the Intel P35 (Abit IP35ProXE) is listed and ive got one in my bottom draw and a q6600 and two 8600gt's mite give this a pop , Nvidia should license it for all motherboards there just plain silly if they dont

They wont allow it on all mb because you have to pay a license fee to use it and mb manufactors wont if they dont need to.

Yeah which would really have prompted me to w8 until the details of their cards atleast appeared in the drivers.

We're talking about a couple of months at the most versus not having Dx11 possibilities.

May well be a case of "look what I/we can do, let's show every1", instead of sitting on it.

The licensing for SLI/xfire is down to the agreements between the vendor and manufacturer. Both camps argue these agreements. Any reason to not issue an agreement wouldn't be on a "cos u smell" basis, there would be reasons - even tho it's nicer to assume they do it cos their nasty people.
