and my 1 word reply to that is 'winamp' 1000x better, and you can take the music off ipods aswell

ipods are the only apple product id ever even consider buying unless they were doing mega deals on the dual cpu mac pro's and even then would have windows installed within hours of getting it home

2x 2.8ghz quads with 8 gig 1800 ddr3 and 4 260/275/285's (would need to add the ram and gpus after tho as they only come with 1066/1333 (1 of them 2) and up to 4x gt120's or 1 4870)

IPods are great and yes itunes let them down on pc so thats why i use media monkey

its 'ok' but has major flaws as a program, such as if you re install windows/get a new pc you have to add all you music again if you want to add new stuff.
