Alot of money considering the price of a 1tb drive, be handy when prices drop though.
Your not the only one, my raid card has 8 slots

It's like everything, 1TB drives when they came out were like £120, despite 500GB drives being £40.
1.5TB drives were like £150, 1TB drives were only £70...
You just pay a premium for being an early adaptor, as with most things
