Just out of interest, out of the items below, what kind of scale of things have broken during ur hardware enthusiasm ?
I'm including here the assumption that EVERY bit of kit that arrived to your house worked 100% - so on that basis, even if something was DOA, include it as something u broke for the sake of the exercise.
Perhaps broke is too strong
Let's use "failed to work once utilized" - just to be silly.
Including also things u pushed and they died, and things that broke over time ofc. Throw in a rough number of how many u think u owned.
Just numbers really and ofc I'll start it off, keep it to personal stuff not work related (to save embarrassments
) - years u reckon u been messing with stuff at the bottom :
MOBO: 3 / 20
CPU: 0 / 20
PSU: 2 / 20
GRAPHICS: 1 / 20
MEMORY (per stick): 1 / 50
HARDDRIVE: 3 / 50
SOUNDCARD: 0 / 10
MISC PCI (nics etc): 1 / 20
YEARS est.: 25
Be a funny estimation, be nice to see all the numbers laid out in some kind of graph if some1 is particularly bored.
(don't forget to include the DOAs, we'll assume everything works ootb for arguments sake)
What I'm interested in particularly is how reliable things have been over the years.
