Right, with the recent trade of my 8800GT and the sale of my 4870. I think ill be able to afford this, is it decent? Will it do? Any downsides, i love how it looks.

Will be fine mate,
altough reading around on ocuk forums there could be a drop in price on the ati 48xx series very soon. So if you can hold out a couple of weeks you may get a 4890 at a decent price?

Only 4890 im interested in is the asus voltage mod 4890 with 950mhz core. Othert than that not interested

These the cards made that sometimes get listed as "NVIDIA" instead of a manufacturer name ?
I assume they're reference ones that stores can attach their own logos if there is an agreement ?

After reading the reviews, I can tell you that they give either Sparkle cards or Palit cards. Probably other low end manufacturers' versions as well.
All the same unless it is factory overclocked.

Damnnnn thats cheap.
I think the 4890 outperforms it in most games though, except for Crysis.

Sparkle make the fastest low profile graphics card in existance  (professional quadros to one side)
