Nikon D50 Lenses

So I've had my DSLR for a few years now and I'm looking to get a new lense.

I enjoy taking pictures up close (still haven't fiddled around with the AF's etc. but if anyone has any good tutorials please send them my way!

)

Main point is to ask, what decent but cheap lenses can I get? Even though I've had the camera for so long I have no idea what to get for it.

Kind of embarrassing really but I'd like to get back into photography.

What lense do you have on it at the moment?

The lense that came with it was the 18-55mm one.

Maybe look at something with a bit more zoom then, I picked up a 55-200mm for my 450D for around £120 delivered.

Also just bought a Canon 50mm F1.8 Prime for £62 off eBay, bargain!

You might want to try http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/, they are pretty reasonable and it's a great way to test out new products. That, or go to a Jessops and pretend to want to buy a couple. Test them in store and then buy online.

That Sigma lense looks sweet, Marcus, if only it were cheaper, but I think I get the idea.
