Updating ATI drivers...

Hey,

Appologies if this is in the wrong section

Tomorrow ATI are due to release cat 9.5 - I havnt updated my drivers in a while and have been having a few issues recently, so have decided to try these out.

However, ive no idea what the current "proceadure" for updating ATI drivers is,

at a guess...

Uninstall ATI drivers via control panel

reboot

run Driver Cleaner.net (or similar) + safe mode

reboot

install new ATI's

reboot

done

However some people seem to suggest to just install the new driver set without doing *anything* - so im a tad confused as to which to do

I've tried both ways you have listed and noticed no problems either way.

I use driver cleaner pro after uninstalling the previous drivers- be it sound OR graphic card. Does the job.

I've used driver cleaner, but currently prefer Driver sweeper can be found at Guru3d site if interested here is the link.
