Lag on COD4
Evening all,
im suffering from awful lag for some reason when i load COD4.
( playing via steam )
soon as i switch to multiplayer , the mouse drags/ stutters across the screen.
If i manage to get it into a game , pressing tab shows everyone with pings of 999.
Any advice you can give please.
Other online games such as Lord of the rings work fine.
Internet browsing is fine too.

Check firewall settings.
And have you tried to load outside Steam?

Yeah it plays through Steam, ill try launching it direct from their own software, heard that helps sometimes.
Its odd, used to play fine.
Ran the defrag within steam too.
No other appliances connected to my router and my pc is connected with cat6 direct.

I'm guessing you haven't noticed the thread bump, so your post isn't very helpful either
