Asus have claimed great energy saving products in their motherboard range in the past, but they have taken it one step further and implemented the E-Green Engine technology in their internal optical drives.

Looks like its still the same old dvd drive ect mate, just it has a sleep mode.

Someone REALLY needs to come out with a drive that is totally black. It's really annoying having to spray the drive housing so that it matches the case internals

Oh and maybe a glossy black bezel.

OR

make a cd drive, which case manufacturers will start producing bezels for, custom like to fit the front of it

This thread might be going somewhere. Personally I'd love to see some slot loading drives. Surely they are the way forward?
