Why do Windows keep refering to us as 'partners' ?

"Partners will now be able to pair the Core i7 CPU and SSD of their choice together for a fairly solid 10-15% discount."

"this is sure to be welcome to those partners interested in them"

Lol at that price i'd rather buy an OCZSSD and i7 it would work out cheaper... What would be useful is for them to give something for free with an i7 say they made some decent DDR3 ram and bundled that with it...

Absolutely right (Doh!)

But anyway, what's with the partner's thing, what happened to customers? Is this a civil rights political correctness thing ?

The partner is the reseller and not the end customer. I am registered with Intel as a partner because I build and sell PC's, that is their target audience.

I'm pretty sure it's for channel partners and not directly to the customers themselves.

Edit: Stu beat me
